It's Dressember!

Just last week, I found out about this awesome thing.

DRESSEMBER!

Dressember is an awareness movement put on by women each year during the month of December to raise awareness of human trafficking and modern-day slavery and to raise funds to support ending these global atrocities. Dressember partners with the International Justice Mission, and 100% of the money raised goes toward IJM's efforts to end human trafficking, slavery and exploitation of children. Just last year, IJM was able to pull 1,600 women and children out of these tragic circumstances through the generous donations of people like YOU!

Here is how it works:

I wear a dress EVERY SINGLE DAY for the month of December (brrr...I might freeze!). Each day, I will post a picture to Instagram (@bayknott07) so you will know I haven't given up. You can make a donation to sponsor me in this endeavor by clicking HERE or click on the Dressember picture on the right. My goal is to raise $500 this month to help end human trafficking. Will you join me?

Dressember Day 1!
And I will also be accessorizing with Noonday Collection, another world-changing movement!
 Today's ensemble features the Minted Necklace, the Bethe Rope Necklace, the Courtney Cuff and the Eternity Earrings

I only have to do this THIRTY more times!

Please consider making a donation to help end human trafficking. You could even make a donation in someone else's name as a difference-making Christmas gift!

“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:

to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,

to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?
Is it not to share your food with the hungry

and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—

when you see the naked, to clothe them,

and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
Then your light will break forth like the dawn,

and your healing will quickly appear;

then your righteousness will go before you,

and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;

you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.
“If you do away with the yoke of oppression,

with the pointing finger and malicious talk,
and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry

and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,

then your light will rise in the darkness,

and your night will become like the noonday.
The Lord will guide you always;

He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.

You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
Isaiah 58:6-11
